The Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is situated in the world-renowned 65 000 hectare Sabi Sand Wildtuin in the south-western section of legendary Kruger National Park. It’s an acclaimed wildlife paradise, where you’ll observe at safe, yet excitingly close quarters the age-old natural relationship between predator and prey. Victoria Falls is referred to as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ which means ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, due to the marvellous vision of rising mist that can be seen from some distance away when the river is at its highest.

Cape Town to Sabi Sands
Today it’s time for a wild taste of the African bush. You will be met at your hotel and transferred in your own private vehicle to Cape Town International Airport, to board your flight to Skukuza and from there, a short transfer to Sabi Sabi.

The Sabi Sands reserve is home to the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo), as well as cheetah, the endangered wild dog and hundreds of other species of animals, birds and plants indigenous to the area. For the next few days, prepare yourself for thrilling interaction with Africa’s wildlife on every game drive – rest assured, our highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers will do whatever it takes to make sure your safari experience ranks among the best in the world.

Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge has been recreated taking its cue from South Africa's vast mineral wealth; veins of the metallic colours are subtly reflected in the sophisticated furnishings around the lodge. A meditation garden leads to the spa and underground cellar with its enviable wine collection and a day bar has been created, where guests relax looking out at the waterhole while enjoying cocktails. Each of the 13 suites, including the iconic Amber Presidential suite, glows with warmth and the glass fronted bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, lead to secluded private plunge pools with lounging chairs facing the bushveld. The Sabi Sabi safari experience of close encounters with wildlife is complemented by the uniquely original aesthetics of the new Earth Lodge.
