Climate: Summer in South Africa falls from December to February and winter from June through August. The rainy season for most of South Africa falls in the summer, except in the Western Cape which enjoys winter rainfall. Winter temperatures hover around zero while summers can be sweltering, more than 35° Celsius (95°F) in some places.
